Ms. O’Brien knew she wanted to be a nurse when she was a little girl. She graduated from Georgetown University with a B.S. in Nursing and worked in the acute care setting before realizing that she wanted to do a little more. She transitioned to public health and worked for Arlington County in clinics and schools. There she encountered so many patients and families that were in need of medical services that they didn’t have. She decided to go to George Mason University to become a nurse practitioner, believing that with her additional training that she could help children and their families so much more. Ms. O’Brien joined Pediatric Healthcare in 1996. She likes running and spending time with her husband, two daughters, and black lab. She also enjoys healthy cooking.
